There are 2 types of cultures - male dominated and female dominated. Whoever is empowered - he/she has more responsibility on his / her shoulders to take care of the weaker partner.

Right Use of Privilege:
(Holy Prophet peace be upon Him and His Progeny - Saying) "Kullukum Ra'in Wa Kullukum Mas'ulun 'An Ra'iyyatihi" كلكم راع وكلكم مسئول عن رعيتهAll of you are guardians (in trust of something or someone) and are accountable for your flock.

Allah SWT says:
Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:92 =

Lan tanaloo albirra hatta tunfiqoo mimma tuhibboona wama tunfiqoo min shayin fainna Allaha bihi AAaleemun

[But as for you, O believers,] never shall you attain to true piety unless you spend on others out of what you cherish yourselves; and whatever you spend - verily, God has full knowledge thereof.

Falamma balagha maAAahu alssaAAya qala ya bunayya innee ara fee almanami annee athbahuka faonthur matha tara qala ya abati ifAAal ma tumaru satajidunee in shaa Allahu mina alssabireena

And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father’s] endeavours, the latter said: “O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you: consider, then, what would be thy view!” [Ismael] answered: “O my father! Do as you are commanded: you will find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!”

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:264

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tubtiloo sadaqatikum bialmanni waalatha kaallathee yunfiqu malahu riaa alnnasi wala yuminu biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri famathaluhu kamathali safwanin AAalayhi turabun faasabahu wabilun fatarakahu saldan la yaqdiroona AAala shayin mimma kasaboo waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alkafireena

O you who have attained to faith! Do not deprive your charitable deeds of all worth by stressing your own benevolence and hurting [the feelings of the needy], as does he who spends his wealth only to be seen and praised by men, and believes not in God and the Last Day: for his parable is that of a smooth rock with [a little] earth upon it - and then a rainstorm smites it and leaves it hard and bare. Such as these shall have no gain whatever from all their [good] works: for God does not guide people who refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Al-Ma'un (The Small Kindnesses) 107:1 = أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ = Araayta allathee yukaththibu bialddeeni
Have you ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law?
Fathalika allathee yaduAAAAu alyateema
Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away,
Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni
and feels no urge to feed the needy.
Fawaylun lilmusalleena
Woe, then, unto those praying ones
Allatheena hum AAan salatihim sahoona
whose hearts from their prayer are remote.
Allatheena hum yuraoona =
those who want only to be seen and praised,
WayamnaAAoona almaAAoona
and, withhold, deny all assistance [to their fellow-men]!

Wrong Use of Privilege:

Walaqad tharana lijahannama katheeran mina aljinni waalinsi lahum quloobun la yafqahoona bihawalahum aAAyunun la yubsiroona biha walahum athanun la yasmaAAoona biha olaika kaalanAAami bal hum adallu olaika humu alghafiloona
And most certainly have We destined for hell many of the invisible beings and men who have hearts with which they fail to grasp the truth, and eyes with which they fail to see, and ears with which they fail to hear. They are like cattle -nay, they are even less conscious of the right way: it is they, they who are the [truly] heedless!

Al-Furqan (The Criterion) 25:44
Am tahsabu anna aktharahum yasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaalanAAami bal hum adallu sabeelan

Or dost thou think that most of them listen [to thy message] and use their reason? Nay, they are but like cattle - nay, they are even less conscious of the right way!
